I apparently have incurred a charge for parking in the Bishop Stortford carpark. I can’t find the receipt for payment I’ve looked everywhere, I usually keep receipts for this exact reason.
I haven’t had 1 letter telling me about a parking charge or any subsequent letters. Just this a few days ago.
I’ve added the info but I’m stumped. I’m looking for the template to help me with this. I’m so annoyed! Can someone tell me where I can find the info.
Thank you.

I doubt that it was a fine, magistrates issue those
Post a redacted picture of the letter, after first hiding your name and address, any QR codes, your VRM details, any passwords and also the reference too
Leave any dates showing
Also, get your V5c log book out and check that its up to date, correct address2 -
I have included the letter with info redacted. I’ll add it again. Address is correct so I’m confused as to why I haven’t had any letters. Found the template though.0

Your password is unredacted, lower right
So its NCP via Moorside Legal, dated 15 January 2025 for £263
Those POC are inadequate because the actual alleged breach is not listed
The pcn was £100, not £178, some creative accounting there
Check if the issue date is correct or not in the POC2 -
Thank you, I’ve amended now and re added. I was in Bishop Stortford on the 12th and have a ticket for that. But not the 10th I can’t say I wasn’t there but I wouldn’t have not paid given I know what these companies are like.So my defence is the actual breach is not listed?0

Your defence will be based on the template defence in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, plus other recent cases involving the same duo
Wait for further replies, no rush
Please change the thread title to something more suitable like
NCP Moorside court claim received1 -
How long before I need to reply? Am I being thick not being able to find that information? Have changed the title. Thank you so much for your help.0

With a Claim Issue Date of 15th January, you have until Monday 3rd February 2025 to file an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS'), but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.To file an AOS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Having filed an AOS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 17th February 2025 to file a Defence. That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the AOS guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an AOS, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.2 -
You do the AOS online on MCOL via the gov website 5 to 19 days after the issue date, which is why I said no rushing, wait for replies. Personally, I would complete the AOS on MCOL on Tuesday ( or later in the week )
Meanwhile, you should be reading the first 2 posts in the defence template thread in announcements, plus the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, as well
You wont be replying, you will be acknowledging and defending, so study the 12 steps in the defence template sticky thread, to understand the process1 -
Thank you so much.1

Can I just check again first : the address on your logbook MUST have been wrong in 2024, yes?
You said it is correct but it can't have been updated in time last February when NCP would have sent a series of letters to the address the DVLA gave them (from your V5C). Unless you live in a place where post goes missing all the time, then I'm saying that your logbook had an old address on it, a year ago. It's the only explanation for no NCP letters arriving.
Did you update it a bit late after a house move?
Is it definitely correct on the V5C now? You can get a four figure real fine if it isn't.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
