Parking Charge help please

I’ve received 2 £100 “parking charges” through the post from a private parking company at a retail park and just wondering if I can wriggle out of them as there could even be more to come. Unfortunately my daughter did not see the 3 hour max stay signs and parked there to revise in Starbucks on several occasions during Uni holidays. Starbucks have a sign up to say they can’t overturn any fines.
I visited the car park afterwards to check the signs. They are mostly very clear but I did notice the sign at the entrance is hidden by another sign (see pics). Also the sign says in the 1st paragraph that the fine is for the driver (which isn’t me).
On one of the letters the picture is very dark (almost black) so perhaps that is another reason to appeal that one?
They are a member of the BPA.
Thanks in advance!

Ideally, the Registered Keeper should follow plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, by coupon mad, complaining about each and every pcn to the retail park management company or landowner, ASAP . Which retail park is it ?
Check if the pcns comply with pofa or not as well, if they do comply with pofa then the Registered Keeper may well be liable
That newbies sticky thread has up to date advice

I’ve checked POFA and the only thing I noticed is the letter doesn’t say who the owner of the car park is (creditor) but otherwise it’s all present and correct. Is that enough for me to challenge it with the standard newbie letter?0

Ignore everything until the Keeper receives an N1SDT Claim Form from the CNBC which will be issued by DCB Legal. Follow the advice in the Newbies/FAQ and Template Defence threads and you can guarantee with around 99.99% accuracy that they will eventually discontinue if you follow the advice.
That, or faff around with all the useless appeals and end up at the same point in the process. No one who is here receiving advice pays a penny to UKPC.1 -
Complain to Starbucks publicly on social media and complain to the property agent which runs the site. The keeper complains. Driver doesn't.
Did both PCNs arrive by day 14 (don't assume). Work out the dates and read the Notice to Keepers. Are they both worded to hold YOU liable? See my NTK pictures thread. Compare.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've tried contacting the retailer and landowner with no success on getting it cancelled so I'm trying to figure out if I have any grounds to fight on. The PCNs are both valid and seem to have all the required info so I guess the only thing I could potentially get them on is the signage. Please can anyone comment on the sign below and tell me if it meets the required standards?
We stayed for longer than 3 hours (in Starbucks).0 -
Yep; tiny small print for the £100.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It looks like they changed (reduced) the parking time; were there additional signs to draw the attention of the motorist to the fact that the time had recently been reduced?1
-
No there's no other signs at all. As you mentioned it does look like they changed the maximum stay but I don't know if it went up or down. Looking at the other retail park next door, there's is 4 hours so it probably was reduced.1

Was she there under 4 hours each time?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
