NCP REMINDER LETTER - no original letter Gatwick

Posts: 18 Forumite
We received a fine for going into Gatwick drop off zone for 7 minutes but the letter says it’s an outstanding fine - it’s the first we have had though. We are being asked to pay the full fine of
£100 (not sure what the early bird fine was) …. But having looked in here there seems to be a lot of people saying not to pay at all.

Study the Heathrow Gatwick group thread for the best advice

Where does that letter say that? Get your facts straight. I will give you £1bn for every occurrence of the word "fine" in any correspondence you have received over this matter.sleepyk said:... the letter says it’s an outstanding fine
No one pays these silly invoices unless they are low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree and do so out of ignorance and fear. You basically tell the, as the Keeper of the vehicle, they should go chase the driver. How do you imagine that NCP could know who the driver is?2 -
Thanks …. I think?? I don’t really understand what it is you’re saying apart from that I might be gullible0

The fact that you are looking for advice on this forum shows that you are not gullible. A lot of people caught up in these scams pay up without question. Gr1pr advised that you look at the Heathrow and Gatwick group thread, which is where I would start ;

You will find advice there that will easily kill this off.

Yep - that appeal always wins. 100% success.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
