Repair or replace Honda Civic Tourer?

Hi Folks, after any wisdom the boards can throw on my quandry!
I am trying to work out if the cost of repairs now on my diesel Honda Civic Tourer (65 plate, 170,000 miles on clock) now outweighs getting a new car. We only have one car as a family so it needs to work. We replaced the oil cooler last year which was expensive but there are a few things that are creeping up going wrong with it now
- We have a minor oil leak that was raised as an advisory on the most recent MOT. Not sure on cost but possibly £500 - £1000
- There is an intermittent sensor light error (orange) that keeps coming on and off
- Tyres need replacing and there is a lot more road noise so suspect tracking and something else going on possibly
- Boot gas struts need replacing
The car seems to be worth around £1500 in this state, as we have only the one car and it is critical for work / play, would you replace my car at this stage in its life?

Sounds barely run in? All cars of that mileage have oil leaks - where is it leaking from? Do you keep an eye on oil level?
What is the intermittent sensor issue relating to?
Tyres are tyres...
Gas struts? How full is the ash tray?1 -
The only cost certain is replacing tyres. More detail is needed on the sensor. What does it relate to ?I don’t think you have a quandary.Mortgage free

Oil leak as said above don't worry too much about it. Mine has had advisories for 3 years and not got any worse. Just check your oil regularly.
What tyres are on it decent ones or ditchfinders? Pay a little more fo mid range. Is there uneven wear if so get tracking checked.
Again as above on orange light get a fault code on that and decide whether it needs attended to.0 -
Boot gas struts are about £100 a pair for Genuine Honda ones (not fiited). Honda engines can run and run and run.....Any corrosion underneath? Assume you have Magic Seats in that model? Will you cope without them?Have you looked at other cars that might interest you? Bearing in mind that used cars are rather costly just now and include all the whistles and bells and batteries that people may or not want.0

No, I’d keep it. I’d monitor the oil leak and if dripping on the drive, I’d get it fixed and get the codes read to find out what is causing the light to come on. This is just regular maintenance.0
