Leave UK Feb 23rd, return on April 24th - is this 60 days total I need to be insured for?

Isn't it 61 if you want to include both the start date and the end date?

If you want cover for flights/ferries etc, then you need to have insurance in place from/since booking them.

Definitely 61 days from start to finish (if talking about 2025 and not a future leap year!)

If someone falls ill before 23 February which prevents your leaving on 23 February, what hapens?

And what happens if you are delayed beyond 24 April and break a leg?

At a guess the OP has Annual Travel Insurance and has realised it has a single trip cap of 60 days hence asking if it's 60 days or not.

Nothing happens if your delayed beyond 24 April, policy limits are based on your planned/booked travel dates, if injury, illness or airlines cause a delay beyond your original duration it doesn't invalidate the insurance. Were the OP to decide to extend the holiday then thats a different matter.

So first 60 days of the 61 days are covered for baggage? Even though returning on day 61?
