Morning Gers, morning allA bit chilly this morning. DH is off later to help DS with a 2 man job on his car. I've got the breadmaker at the ready to make a fruit loaf that I love toasted for breakfast. Chocolate chip muffins to be done later too. Apart from that I've got a footie match to watch at lunchtime and a new book on the go.@Gers we finished Slow Horses last night. Absolutely loved every episode. The one liners are hilarious. Now I've found out there's to be a series 5!Hope everyone and the poodles have a good a day as you can x13

Good morning Gers and all to follow.
Seems like an ok morning, still dark of course. Yesterday was a lovely day.
I was mainly tidying kitchen drawers yesterday - how do they get full of little bits and crumbs, they're not left open all the time. It's one of the mysteries of life.
I also cleaned the double oven, it wasn't too bad.
I'm going to do a proper shop today, it's a while since I did a 'big shop'. Don't need them so much now.
A friend came round last night and we talked non stop.
I'' m thinking of pulling everything out of my fabric cupboard and sorting it. I can take odd bits of fabric to the library, they do craft sessions. I'll see how I go.
Sorry to hear about your Dh hand Coxy, hope it'll be ok.
Ruby, poor Rob must have been so frightened, what a good thing you were going there, I do hope his mum will be ok.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of our poorlies, take care folks.13 -
I made it downstairs! These winter mornings have been around too long now.@Chrisca - have you read the Slow Horses books? There's a huge slew of the main stories and a series of sub-stories featuring some of the regulars and some giving back stories. I have them on my phone for long car journeys.@Scarlet - I was just looking at my cutlery drawer yesterday and thinking the very same, one of lifes mysteries, along with how do all my knickers manage to turn themselves inside out during a wash?Last night one of the legs of my downstairs glasses fell off. It looks as if the repair should be easy as the wee pin is still there but I really failed at slotting them together so off to the optician I go this morning. There's a bag of rubbish to take to the tip and a selection of unwanted meds to return to the pharmacy. After that...I relax.I hope all are well or getting better, or even not getting worse. Hugs to all.11

Morning all.
Just getting light but dry outside. Yesterday's walk to the post box was a nightmare. I took big dog and I think there must have been a lady dog along there in season, he was all over the place pulling, which is unusual for him.
Anyway, today's another day. Planning to roast the chicken I got with part of my £10 voucher. We'll have chicken and stuffing baguettes tonight, a roast tomorrow and a curry on Monday. Any leftovers will go into the freezer for sandwiches or a pie at a later date. Big dog will get the scraps and of course I'll make stock with the bones. Very MSE.
No other plans except the usual.
Ruby, I hope Robs mum is ok, it must have been so frightening for him.
Have a good day all, hugs to our poorlies.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Dull outside but no rain forecast, although the weather forecaster says we will have everything thrown at us this coming week, apart from snow! That in itself is good to hear!
I had a charity bag through the door yesterday so that has spurred me on to get shut of more wardrobe stuff. I just need to leave it all intact until Monday's collection and I don't start dragging stuff back out! Once (and if!!) better weather arrives I will aim for another prune of them, when I might have more idea of what I'll wear and what I won't.
The only thing on the agenda for today is the Supermarket Sweep with DS when he finishes work at lunchtime. Just Aldi today he says. I am still in the process of getting all the bits and pieces down in the freezer so it's not a big list. Mostly f & v and fridge stuff.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. RUBY I hope there is better news of Rob and his mum today. It's a worry for you.. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
