Carpet corner protectors

I had some heating work done at home for which plumbers had to pull out carpet to lay pipes under floorboard.
My carpet was fitted new a year back and when they laid it back, the corners look damaged. They said they'd put some corner protector chrome plates but now saying can't find anything like that 😣
The carpet corners look bit shabby now and I fear when do vacuum the woven bits may start coming off. Are there any carpet corner protectors?
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

As it's a newish carpet it might be worth getting a carpet fitter to relay it properly. They may also be able to sort out any damage to the corners.

Was it snug under the skirting before they moved it and is now not under the skirting? Might just need tucking in properly.0
