I'm looking for any of the TV servies that allow downlaods straight to a windows laptop, to be able to watch later without wifi. I'm going to be travelling without any wifi. I don't want to stream by connecting my phone to laptop, or anything like that.
Happy to pay for a month of netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, ... any service that lets me download to my laptop (not a Chromebook)
Are there any? Thanks

Pretty sure most of them do but they tend to be to phones and tablets:

    Netflix is documented here:

    Prime will download to Windows:

Apple says it will download to "PC", but ironically not on Mac!:

You appear to be seeing something different than I do when clicking that link as it states:

Download a programme, film or event on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC

Either way, I can confirm you can dowload from AppleTV+ to a Mac. You can also download to Vison Pro but it's osa different process hence not included in the above.

Most the paid for apps allow you to download. The non-direct subscription services like iPlayer have mainly stopped you downloading to computers even if you can for mobile devices.

When I go on holidays abroad I download films and programmes from BBC iPlayer and Netflix, which do not need Wi-Fi onto my tablet. I would have thought a laptop would be the same.

We were discussing this yesterday. Mrs B has an iPad - how does she do this please?

You go into whatever it is you want and hit the download button, though not all iPlayer content is available for download and it doesn't help the OP who stated they want to do it on a laptop not an iPad and iPlayer no longer supports downloads to computers.

You used to be able to download from Iplayer onto a laptop, but not any more unfortunately

Thank you. Looks like Prime is the best bet for downloading to a windows laptop
