well january has gone well, despite being a 5 week month for payday i have managed a £1000 overpayment. My twinnies have turned 3 and have become entitled to their 30 hours free childcare so my plan is to use the money i would have given to nursery to throw at the mortgage. I am already budgeting without this money so i might as well start hammering the overpayments. I have also realised that I am able to overpay 3x my monthly payments with barclays as a lump sum payment without penalty, so if i can manage to hurl more than this at it i will and just watch that mortgage shrink each month!
