dcbl debt recovery letter for parking fines in Scotland

So after 2 1/2 yrs I’ve received a debt recovery letter from DCBL due to unpaid parking fines in Gemini carpark connected to a shopping centre. The reason I didn’t pay was from advise given on other forums like this to “ignore” as these fines had no jurisdiction in Scotland & that I could not be taken to court. However, I’m a wee but weary now, in particular for my credit score. Is this something that can go as far as court if I choose to keep ignoring or should I just pay?

You should just follow the advice to Ignore
They will give up after the 5 years statute expires
Ps, its definitely not a fine, its an unpaid invoice2 -

You don't pay a scam to make it go away.
You were are still are right to ignore. It cannot go to court, cannot cause a CCJ in Scotland and cannot affect your credit score. DCBL are debt crawlers. TOTALLY IGNORE THEM.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I too have just received same letter from DCBL today. It states it's for a parking fine in a shopping centre carpark in Glasgow on 04/08/2022. Parking is free at this carpark, but it states that I overstayed the 3 hours.
Any advice welcome, thanks0 -
Just because DCBL and other useless debt collectors send you letters, why on earth. do you think it will affect your credit score?
It can't. Stop panicking.0 -

But wise up on retail park signage and read terms more carefully in future, because you are getting keeper liability in a year or so.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Next - follow the advice given to the above poster Speķie.
N.B. Do not contact them in any way at all.1 -
Interestingly, I've heard of a Scottish case where the alleged charge was in January 2019, but DCBL are still sending letters more than 5 years later (all were ignored).1
