I thought mine was a Beko, but that's the washing machine. I like beko too, on the second washing machine first one lasted 12 years of hard labour0

Probably the best company for fridge freezers is the one that specialize in those and does nothing else , company called Liebherr. Slightly more expensive that aforementioned brands but not by much. ( There are better fridg feezers but cost a LOT more, kind of more money than sense number more ... ) Having said that, fridge freezers are pretty simple machines, so unlike say washing machines, they are fairly reliable , Beko is certainly cheap and cheerful, LG, Bosch or any other is fairly similar to the rest, just pick the one you like ( price, size, design, distance from the shop .. )0

I think a fridge/freezer is fairly simple tech to be honest so go with whatever's on offer and works best for you. We've had an LG american fridge freezer for around 12 years and never had any bother with it. Lot's of brands share the same compressors etc. so there's very little to choose between them.
More and more brands are offering "smart" features to fridge freezers not. I'd avoid those as the tech behind those features will likely be obsolete within a few years and they'll stop updating it so could end up being useless 5 years down the line.0 -
LG are a good brand, although we have only had their TV's. We've had Samsung and Hotpoint FF's in the past - both fine. The only slight issue we had was the Hotpoint fridge was a bit warm at the top and a bit too cold at the bottom, but we coped.
Beko are fine, and our current washing machine is a Bosch, as is our dish washer. As mentioned above, Liebherr are a bit of a pricier brand but look good. Currys have their own brand of electronics, think it's Logik?, but just made in china cheap stuff. Currys stores are a great place to browse, but can usually be found cheaper elsewhere. Argos is rarely the best place to buy IME. We got our dishwasher and undercounter fridge from AO.com who were competitively priced, and reliable delivery.
Depends what features you want I think - the OH doesn't like anything too fancy, and we've just moved house which has an integrated FF possibly a SMEG or a Bosch, not sure. Did manage to persuade the OH that we should get a smart dishwasher, which is cool.0 -
As has been said they're all very similar, you can have good luck or bad luck with any of them. I'd look at attributes that are important to me - the right size, the right split between fridge and freezer, the right look, frost free or not, does noise matter to you? Some are quieter than others.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

A few years before the pandemic my fridge suddenly stopped working, in a panic I rushed up to the Argos branch in our city centre intending to buy an expensive replacement.
The very nice woman I spoke to persuaded me to look at their own brand models, Bush, to see if one of those would suit me as they were very inexpensive and could be delivered the next day.
I bought a fridge freezer with different dimensions to put in an alternative location in my kitchen thinking that if I hated having it there I could afford to donate it to a local charity and buy another undercounter model.
I am still using the bottom of the range Bush I bought and am very happy with it.
They delivered and set it up for me first thing the following morning.
They even gave me an extended guarantee in exchange for listening to a telephone salesman tell me about their protection plans which I didn't buy.
So have a look at the Bush range and see what you think.
PS If space and money were no object I would get a Fisher and Paykel side by side fridge freezer with ice and water as well as the temperature zones and they can cost over £8,000.0 -

However I read in another thread that they had a period of using different lower quality manufacturer to get costs down, so that could have been the issue.
That is a common problem with all brands. It is just a sticker on the side really for most of them, and the actual manufacture could be changed.
I now have a Swan freezer and an Indesit fridge for a few years without any issues. Neither are expensive.0 -
My current Zanussi fridge freezer (frost free) is 12 years old and going strong. I believe my previous fridge freezer which was also a Zanussi was at least 20 years old when I left it in a property I sold. I actually bought it second hand and it looked new/ still had wrapping on in places so I don't know how long it had been used before I got it. My memory fails me but I'm sure I got another Zanussi because I was impressed with the longevity of the first one. I don't know how well they are made now of course, things change.
