Fixed energy tariffs

My provider will only offer me a fixed rate tariff if I buy other products from them. Is this legal, shouldn’t a fixed rate be available to all non debt accounts?

    Who is the provider?

Are you committed to buying a minimum bundle of services to get discounts/deals?

Hi, AFAIK other than providing default tariffs that are compliant with Ofgem rules suppliers are under no obligation to offer other tariffs. There is no reason I can think of why this should be problematical. The industry is regulated in such a way as to make it easy to switch to another provider if they offer a tariif that better suits your needs.

Not illegal, Octopus e.g. have restrictions on their best tariffs.  Only thing they obligated to offer you is the SVR tariff.
