Creating a will / LPA for a Spanish resident with UK citizenship

Good afternoon,
My mum moved to Spain to reside permanently in retirement and still hold a Bristish passport. She has a number of offshore accounts and UK accounts. All other personal effects are based in Spain.
She has put together a will using an "at home" service. I need to know whether this will be sufficient to make sure that her wishes are met or does she need a solicitor from Spain / UK to draw something up to reflect her wishes?
I also wish for her to give me Lasting Power of Attorney. Please can you advise how this would work and how I obtain the necessary paperwork?
I am quite desperate for answers as it seems impossibly complicated to me.
Huge thanks

She should probably have a UK and Spanish will. A UK LPA will only cover her UK assets so professional advice is probably needed for her Spanish assets.1

Not sure an English LPA would achieve anything other than allowing you to manage assets in the UK?
A quick search suggests your mum needs a poder notarial, of which there are different sorts. Mum would need to visit a notary and instruct them as to who she wants to have what powers. It needs doing before she loses capacity. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Huge thanksGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
Thank you all - very little assets in Spain but I believe that the most likely LPA is "health and wealth" whereby health would be more important in this instance. Assets otherwise, mainly in the Isle of Man so - so would that work for a UK LPA? Is it misleading that it is classed as "offshore"?0
