Nothing will happen because the location is in Scotland.

There is no way that Moorside Legal know how to litigate in Scotland.  That's why DCB gave up.

They won't litigate - no chance.

Just adapt the 'Specsavers' sarcastic reply linked in this reply to someone else in Scotland:

That'll put them back in their box.  :D
Right OK, thank you for the response. Up until now I had zero care for the matter, as all the letters, whether from DCBL or ZZPS, were the obvious mass spam send outs which carry no worry in Scotland.
But this one had me a little on edge, especially with all the extra paperwork that came with it in the form of a Reply Form.
Yep which is why my advice was clearly NOT to just ignore it.

The reason is we saw a claim last year that DCB Legal mistakenly filed where the D lived in Scotland. Probably because no human with half a brain looked at it.

    Hence my 'Specsavers letter'.
I'm assuming I would be sending this through snail mail with my reference number attached?
No.  And no filling in reply forms.

Nobody uses snail mail to respond to these 'outrageous scams' (an MP's words).

Not to sound daft, but how would I send them that sarcastic response? Sending them an email, assuming they have one on their website somewhere, would mean them getting their hands on my email additionally.

Indeed. If that bothers you, create a new one.

Wouldn't bother me, in your shoes. They cannot threaten you with the County Court so they'll gave to give up and pass the case back to the PPC.

You may want to do this as well because regulation has stalled and it includes Scotland:

We all need protecting from this greedy nasty industry. Please join the motorists in demanding the re-launch of Govt-backed CoP.

A simple signature, share if you can. 🙏

Thanks to @Nellymoser (also from Scotland) for posting the above info on other threads.

@Someguy_1 Please sign this petition demanding the re-launch of Govt-backed Parking Code of Practice. 🙏

We need to add our voices to group of MPs and Parking Steering Group (Coupon-mad sits on) in calling for statutory regulation for the private parking industry. The present voluntary measures are failing to protect us.

Ah I see that it was already posted and you were planning to sign it. Please share & ask others who drive to join you.

So, I was meant to post this a few days ago but forgot, before the 30 days was up I got another letter but this time from DCBL again "Notice of Intended Legal Action Unpaid Parking Charge £---".
If they passed this onto Moorside, why are they still sending letters?

Because they can. Nobody stops them.

Send them the Specsavers email too.

Someguy_1.  did you get any further news?  I'm currently at the received letter of claim stage after getting over 20 letters prior with various stages of toothless threats and also in Scotland.  Not replied to any (and dont intend to) but the folder is getting full of these bits of toilet paper and wonderd if I should get a  bigger folder  :)

@AvinALarf_2 Sorry for the super late response. I sent that Specsavers response as instructed and I haven't heard a single peep back from them.
