Probate

Options
Just after some advice as reading conflicting things online.  I am sorting my late Mum's affairs, she had a current account & savings account with NatWest, contents £23,000 and an ISA with Royal London worth £13,500 plus some small life insurance policies. Both NW & RL are releasing funds to me without probate but I am worried that the combined amount may be over a threshold... should I apply for probate?

There is no threshold, as long as all her assets can be released without probate you don’t need it.

The minimum threshold for IHT is £325k and could be £1m
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Yes, I should have mentioned the IHT thresholds, which would create the need to apply for probate as well.
