    The two winters thing is because at minimum, usually people need electric lights on for longer in winter, usually have hot meals more than in summer (especially if you have salads in summer),
    Used 4.13kWh in June for lighting, and 6.8kW in December - LED lighting throughout the house. So yes, more energy used in winter, but the difference is minimal. If you are still using halogen & filament bulbs, it could add up to a significant amount.

    Heating as well even if not electric.  Our oil heating uses 200W and typically adds 15kWh or so on  a Winter month.

    Doesn't look outrageous though. Shame he's got some estimated readings in there, but at least the latest are actual ones. As @Scot_39 says, the landlord does appear to be being pretty honest with you.


    Those bills aren't mine, they're example bills of someone else's, I assume the main meter.
