Grant condensing oil boiler or Warmflow

Hi folks,

I am installing a new oil condensing oil boiler, in the boiler house shortly for central heating and considering either the Grant Vortex or a Warmflow condensing boiler, not concerned too much about instant hot water to tap.

I know that Grant are heavily advertised on TV and in newspapers where I live, and would like your advice on the reliability of both brands and servicing afterwards.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Google the question Grant vs Warmflow and read the results.  DIYNot forum has some installers with experience.

Check out what your local installers recommend when getting the minimum three competitive quotes.  Ensure they are boiler maker approved for warranty.

I'll assume you have / need a system boiler as oil combis are a nightmare from my reading about them.

Have you investigated an Air Source Heat Pump and Govt grants at all to replace the existing boiler?

FWIW neighbours have just had to install a new Grant to replace their approx 18 year old one as it was leaking.  Ours is similar age.
