Safestyle Guarantee

Sadly we have been yet another household that has had to try to claim against the insurance backed guarantee with the busted Safestyle.  Even though they never sent us any Fensa certificate or insurance paperwork I was able to get the required number from Fensa directly to try and make a claim.

We had our front and back doors replaced in 2018 however we have now found that the wonderful installers at safestyle removed a load bearing door but did not install a lintel to support the weight of the building.  As such we hav enow started to get bowing and cracked brickwork.

What are the chances of me getting a payout to cover the repair work?  Even though the doors themselves still seem to be ok if I hadn't noticed the cracking we may have lost half of our house to their incompetence.

This seems like the kind of thing that the insurance is intended for.

I'd speak to your building insurer immediately.  I suspect your terms with them oblige you to inform them of such a problem.  They should also be able to advise on routes to get things sorted.
