  • Keith meant where EXACTLY? Google Streetview link please?

We are not pessimistic about your chances with defending a claim and many Gladstones cases go no further than a LBC in our experience.

You can stop on Double Yellows you know. Perfectly legitimate if collecting a pre-ordered item (loading). DYL don't mean no stopping.

OK just ignore them for now ... unless the Gladstones letter is a LBC or a LoC (please don't ask how to tell).

You didn't say either way, but to see what's what, you need to read the FOURTH then SECOND posts of the NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST thread.

Assuming the £170 demand is only a threatogram, go confidently into the 'ignore' stance that you read about in those posts. The only steps to take are:

    - Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

    - Ignore the tedious £170 threatograms shown in pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread. Read that now. Look at the letters to laugh at and confidently ignore.

    - Come back if you get a solicitor's LBC as per the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

I am pretty sure it an LBC. They have given me 30 days to pay before possibly starting legal proceedings. The deadline passed a few days ago.

But I guess I can still complain to the land owner. I just need to find out who that is.

Here you go - I offer this guidance from time to time:

SOME IDEAS FOR DETERMINING WHO OWNS THE LAND

    1. Google searches
    2. If a retail park, check on any signage which lists the on-site outlets
    3. Ask retailers on the site if there is a managing agent
    4. Ask retailers on the site to whom do they pay rent
    5. Contact the local authority and ask who pays the non-domestic/business rate for the car park (some councils have a spreadsheet on their website)
    6. Contact the local Valuation Office and ask if they know. They often have a website which might provide the information
    7. Contact The Land Registry and for around £3 they should be able to provide definitive detail
    8. If you haven't already done so, give us the name of the car park/site/location, we may have seen other cases there.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
