We have been in a debt management plan for some time and keep receiving discount offers from our creditors. We are now in a position to possibly clear all our debts if we accept the discounts but the debts have all dropped off our credit files because they're more than 6 years old. If we partially settle them now, will they all reappear on our credit files and stay there for another 6 years please? We've managed to rebuild our credit score and I'm worried that we might shoot ourselves in the foot if we do this.

Hi, this might be better in the main DFW forum than in challenges?
But once a debt has been cleared on your credit record after 6 years, settlement does not result in it reappearing. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -
You might want to propose a payment to them!
Start low. You can always go up.
