You're unlikely to get cashback from any source if you're already a customer. It's only paid to attract new customers.Read your Ts & Cs very carefully to see whether exit fees apply. Some suppliers only charge if you leave the company, others charge if you end the tariff.0

The MSE's Money Tips newsletter today states that an existing customer would get the cashbacks if applying via the Energy Club ... see this snip ...
As @Gerry1 wisely states, whether you would be charged an exit fee depends on your tariff's T&Cs. Your 'welcome' e-mail should state whether an exit fee applies if you change tariff, but the T&Cs from 16th August state that it's only if you change supplier ...
From section 11.2 Terms for Fixed Term Tariffs ...
Hope that helps.2 -
MSE offer suggests you will be eligible for Cashack even as an existing EoN customer...
Latest weekly email: BILLBUSTER specialIt's only available via us and direct at E.on Next. Yet our Energy Club is the cheaper route as new & existing E.on Next customers get an extra £10 bill credit and £20 MSE cashback. Plus, E.on's agreed to 'MSE enhanced service', ie, if there's an issue, go to it first, but if it doesn't sort it, come to us and we can and will escalate it. So how does it compare? However as you'll be <changing supplier> to the MSE Energy Club I'd suggest any existing tariff with a penalty might be invoked by EoN... ask EoN/MSE Energy Club??
I'd guess the rates (£s/kWh and Standing Charge) will be the same 'direct' or via MSE-EC though? Then a tariff change within your EoN account should be penalty free, but without any cashback.
Now I'm with EoN and out of Contract. But do I want to be a customer of MSE-EC and is it worth the bother for a measly £15 cashback (electric only)??

@dealyboy Thanks for pointing that out, I must've missed it.
For those interested, I have spoken to EON, and they checked, and as it was also available to me on their side as well, although without the cashback, I won't be charged exit fees.
As I understand it, your supplier is EON, but if there is an issue that you don't feel that they are dealing with properly, then you can ask MSE to get involved.
