No 2 above. None of anything else.

    Which parking firm?

DVLA give your details to PPC. Did DVLA hold your current address (shown on V5C) at the time of the alleged contravention. Debt Agencies do a trace to find you.

I suspect you forgot to update your logbook address when you moved?

That must be put right with the DVLA first. And you need to tell (obviously not by phone!) the parking firm and the debt collectors to ERASE the old address held on file.

After doing that, completely ignore this and future letters. By going confidently into the 'ignore' stance, the only steps to take are:

    - Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

    - Ignore the tedious £170 threatograms shown in pictures in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread. Please go and look at them now.

    - Come back if you get a LBC as per the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

I've been at same house address for 20 yrs so prob lost in post.
  • If I win , I fully intend to pay it forward by telling everyone I know. Thanks for the help so far to each and everyone 1 of you.

Good thinking. It happened to my daughter that triggered me to similarly .... and here I still am, some 12 years on. Very satisfying to think that them trying to scam £100 from one of mine has cost them thousands for their troubles through my input here. 😇
