CPM parking fines

Hi all. Wondering if anyone can offer advice..I am a carer and look after someone who lives in a housing association house. Over the past year I've had a nightmare trying to park anywhere near the house. They have their own disabled bay outside, I can't use this either. I contacted the council and eventually paid for a carers parking permit which I've been using for the past year. I received basic info from them on where I could park. In August I moved house and told DVLA my change of address and they sent a new license through with my current address (I assumed telling them of my address change everything would be updated). Yesterday I picked up mail from a neighbour to find nearly a thousand pounds of parking fines from CPM that had been sent to my old address! The first dated August 2024 (the month I moved house). Feel so stupid as I genuinely assumed that when I applied for the carers permit I could park in any permit bay. Any advice appreciated as this is causing me much stress..

Email the DPO at UK CPM ASAP and tell them your current address for the service of papers, plus that they MUST ERASE your old addresses, in order to ensure that you don't get a default CCJ affecting your credit file
Do this TODAY,
The only way this can be resolved is in court, so please dont look for quick fixes, there aren't any !
Going forward, use this thread and accept the advice given, stressing wont help, clarity will
I understand your story and predicament, but its now water under the bridge, going forward correctly is what matters here
Ensure that your V5c and your driving licence are both current and up to date, nit expired, correct address etc3 -
I sympathise it's unacceptable to receive pcns for delivering personal/nursing care at clients/patients home.Perhaps you should email your MP about your situation. Ask them to write on your behalf to CPM and Minister HCLG (responsible for private parking) asking why private parking companies do not recognise your council carers permit.3

Yep, you merely need to tell UKCPM your new address and tell them to 'erase' the old one. People who don't do that, risk getting a CCJ from some old parking firm scammer behind their back.
Updating the DVLA now does not get seen by the scammers. Too late because the rogue industry aren't allowed to ask the DVLA twice for the same incident. But you have messed up by not updating your car's V5C address. Do that as well.
You have to update the DVLA & UKCPM separately.
Make sure you tell UKCPM to update the address for ALL PCNs and to tell their debt crawlers too. Tell them that the DVLA address is out of date and must be erased.
Use that word.
Claims are often sent deliberately to old DVLA addresses. It's what some of the roboclaim legals seem aim for: CCJs.
The good news is that, as long as the claim (if one comes, and often it doesn't get that far) arrives at your correct address, you'll easily defend and almost certainly win.
Parking court claims are such a cinch to beat that it's laughable. Including this one.
We will take you through all stages.
DO NOT PAY!
DO NOT PHONE ANYONE.
DO NOT ASK CITIZENS ADVICE (sadly they work with badly-advised out of date knee-jerk "it's a debt!" advice).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
