Morning all - I think I have have now caught up with the missed sleep for the other night. I slept long and deep, not even a middle of the night creep to the loo.So much news here already! Great outing @TA, a freedom meal indeed. Your evening sounds really lovely @WL, food and friends. @Coxy - even now, thinking about that young man makes me sad. Sorry @Snoozer - I did misread your post about the murder. Well done @Mehefin - another 'first' done.Yesterday I gave the parcel back to the postie, she's taken it back to the delivery office. Whilst it's tempting to keep the goods (merino wool pyjamas) it wouldn't sit right with me as I've been refunded the cost. So, back it goes I hope. The meeting went well last night, better than I anticipated and, to make it doubly good, I managed to get it running to time and finished early.
Because of great technology I came home to a toasty bed.
I tried to empty the big bag of recycling but every dumpster I went to was not only full but overflowing so the bag remains in my boot until another day.My neighbour came to climb up into the loft. He saw that the water tank up there has long been disconnected, I draw water directly from the mains, so no leak. Seems that the very quick change from freezing cold to very mild temperatures caused a huge amount of condensation on the stairs wall. Very strange. Anyway, no leak which is a relief and I ran the dehumidifier for most of the day, all looks dry now.Today is open, I have some chicken breasts which need cooking so I'll be stuffing, covering and roasting them soon. High life indeed.I hope that everyone is doing well, hugs all round.10 -

Also photographed and listed some knitted tea cosies in my Etsy shop. These are made by Mum and she will get the proceeds but they won’t sell sitting in her spare room!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning everyone
Yesterday was mild here with sunshine - I was opening windows as soon as I got to work it was so warm in our classroom. The garden is very muddy though now the ice has melted.
No work today, I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa, then I'm thinking of going to a craft group in town which is on Wednesday afternoons. I hate going into a room full of people I don't know, so I'll see. You'd think I would have grown out of that by now, aged 57!
DD and little one had a drama in the early hours of yesterday morning - little ones tube came out of her tummy!. The balloon that holds it in place had burst, which made it fall out. It was the one that goes into her intestines and was about 30cm long, we don't know how it fit into her little body! Anyways, DD put a spare one in, this one just goes into her tummy, which is all that she needs at the minute, and they already have an appointment at the RVI on Friday. I don't know how DD stayed calm enough to do it, if it wasn't done very quickly it would mean an operation to put it back in. We were just glad it had happened at home, rather than at school or my house! I do have instructions saved on my phone, but reading instructions is one thing, actually doing it is another!
I'm glad to hear that everyone who was stuck indoors has managed to get out.
Remmie - Lidl seems to have a lot of good offers and freebies, we have a new one opening soon. I'm looked forward to going, especially as it's within walking distance for me.
Right best get moving, hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all. It's sunny with a blue cloudless sky and no wind. Best of all - the snow has gone! Highs of 10 c but chilly tonight at -1 c.
Like others who've been confined to indoors for what seems like an eternity, I'll be out today for a walk to the Co-op for a couple of bits, including a TV guide. I've managed without one this week but I do miss it. There's also a bag of soft plastics to take for their recycling bin. As for the rest of the day, I'll play it by ear and see what I fancy doing.
Tea tonight will be a lightly dusted lemon & pepper sole fillet and I'll finish off the last few oven chips with it. Last bit of rice pudding for afters with a splodge of jam.
@Coxy11 - A little bit of progress on your SiL's transfer. Will that make it easier for you to visit?
@mehefin - Well done on making it to the community meeting, it may be easier next time.
@Gers - Pleased to hear you didn't have a leak after all. I used to panic about condensation forming on the toilet cistern sometimes but now know it's because the cold water feed from the mains is freezing, especially in winter. Even so, I still check!
@dp1 - Oh dear, another drama for LO. I don't know how your daughter copes with it all, she must be exhausted at times.
Right, a quick tidy round and then I'm out of the house. Have a good day whatever you're doing, hugs as always for the Poodles, sad and lonely. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Morning all! The sun is doing it's best to creep through the clouds otherwise it's grey but fairly mild. Someone is coming to change the meter today, I'll ask if he can move it too. I can't get under there now to take readings if something goes wrong. It's right in the corner of the triangle of under the stairs. No idea how they managed to get it in there originally because the stair wall is solid, it's not like it's ever been open plan under there. Other than that, there is more sorting going on. I moved the food cupboard back yesterday, five or six jars bit the dust and one blown tin. At least I know what I have now and don't need to duplicate..[Yes I made a list] Next thing is find somewhere for my spices [ rather a lot of them] so they are accessible and also tidily away.TA, nice to get out and have a not cooked by you meal
dp1, well done your dd for remaining calm! Gers, definitnely not a slipped tile or anything? Hooray for a good sleep too! Scarlet, thanks for reminding me, I have some dobbies points to spend and a free scone
Coxy, another vote for show us your [mums] tea cosies
Ruby, hope it goes without incident today! Izzy, how's the liner? Are they worth it? Nancy, hope you're ok where you are...Take care all and all poodles...

@Coxy11 - the tea cosy is delightful. I will be learning more knitting this semester in my class and I will try to get up the courage to try it. You should post the picture at least.2
