Hello again, I think it's an ok morning out there, sunshine is forecast!
I'm going to D*bbies this morning to meet a friend, haven't met up with her since before Christmas, so we'll have plenty to talk about.
TA, hope you met your friend yesterday and had a good natter, after being confined for so long with the lurgy then the weather.
Yesterday was ok, got a few things done round the house, and met up with friends at the quiz last night.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can. Thinking of the sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning allFeels a bit warmer this morning. Still dark out there so don't know what the weather is doing but according to the forecast it's going to be cloudy and dry.Hoovering, dusting and bathroom cleaning on the cards today but not much elseHope everyone has a good day and can get out of hibernation now that it's a bit safer underfoot x11

Good morning thanks for starting us Scarlet.
Still dark but feels much milder. Plans changed yesterday as DH wanted to go to the diy store, which is around the corner from Lids, so it would have been rude not to pop in there, especially seeing as I had a £10 voucher to spend before Friday. I got a whole chicken, pork chops and at half price pork fillets. I also got free asparagus and a free apple turnover, so well worth going in. Then it was home to the beef stew I'd left cooking.
Today will be catching up on chores I didn't do yesterday, and fitting the meal into the freezer from the fridge.
Hope everyone is well, I will catch up on yesterday's news later. Have a good day all.9 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It looks a bit dark and gloomy out there, but dry so I'll settle for that. There are still odd patches of snow lingering on. Is it wishful thinking that we won't get any more!
I had a lovely meet up with my DF yesterday but crikey how busy was it! I think everybody had the same idea after being holed up for so long. Hopefully next week might be a bit quieter. I made a total pig of myself and had the large all day brunch. What a plateful but I did it justice and felt stuffed. It felt lovely finally having a meal that somebody else had made.
No plans for today so it will be a bitsa this and bitsa that day, unless a better offer comes along! I might resume the wardrobe clearing but I really need my ruthless head on for that job.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons - enjoy your meet up with your friend today x
I did some gardening yesterday as the weather was so mild. Just weeding and clearing of leaves, but it looks so much better. Only another 80% of the garden to do lol. Also photographed and listed some knitted tea cosies in my Etsy shop. These are made by Mum and she will get the proceeds but they won’t sell sitting in her spare room!
Today’s time is yet to be allocated. It’s due to be misty all day so probably an indoor day, planning DDs bedroom refurb.
SIL has finally been transferred to the MH in-patient facility. Hoping they can give her all the support she needs. Just so awful. We managed to watch the final segment of the programme last night @Gers. Agree that it was an terrible outcome for that lad ☹️Hope you enjoyed the dancing and playing @WickedLady4 😊@weenancyinAmerica I have PM’d you the tea cosy photo and pattern details x
Have a good day all and hugs to all the poorly poodles x

Just enjoying another pink sunrise though it’s a misty one this morning.Having my hair cut first thing which will be followed by a dog walk. Then going to visit a family friend to hang some pictures as she’s moved and can’t manage them. Will see how much time there is for anything else when I get back but it’ll likely be a bit of craft shop work. Coxy - dm me your Etsy shop link as I’d love to see yours - I can imagine the photos and listings took you a while, well it does me!!
take care all

Morning all
Dry here and fairly mild which is a nice change, I am off to collect Rob today and take him to work, let’s hope there are no accidents today 💩😬
No shopping to do today as dd did it yesterday it’s a nice treat not having to go as I really don’t enjoy shopping of any kind.
Something with chicken for dinner tonight either a curry or summer in winter chicken will see what we fancy later, I have put a wash on this morning and will hang it on the airer before I go.
Im glad those who have been snowed in are able to start getting out now - enjoy xxx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all. A bit gloomy here so far.
Turned up to collect DGS yesterday only to find we now have to input our car reg for the car park. We were in DH's car, as the child seats fit better there, so I had to go back and get the registration number. It's a very small village so I guess they don't want to encourage random parking.
After that we had a busy, but very enjoyable, evening for Plough Tuesday. Our man in the kitchen had worked hard to produce 2 courses for 30 people, a lot of it cooked at his house and finished off at the hall, then our teenage dancer made flapjack, brownies and shortbread. About an hour of dancing afterwards and then clearing up meant I wasn't home until midnight so might take it easy today.
Off to help at the Community Larder soon so will wish you all an enjoyable day.11 -
Morning from Mehefinland
s'foggy - thick, wet and horrible. Yesterday was drizzle all day and the day before bright sunshine! I think the only thing I've missed is the snow for which I am truly grateful! Not been up to a massive amount. had our black bags collected yesterday (last one was Xmas eve) and the council generously allowed us to have extras out due to the increased amount we generate over the festive period lol. So we were allowed 6 bags! I must admit if I wasn't clearing out junk and rubbish from the loft I would probably have struggled to get 6. The bulk of it normally is ash from the rayburn as soft plastics now go to the local coop - its amazing how much even 1 person generates. At least it saved me trying to get an appointment for the tip.
Went to the community council meeting last night , the first since Dawn's passing, and they were all so welcoming. I had been putting it off for a while, and even now have mixed feelings, but decided it was time to at least try. I didn't make it to the end of the meeting as it got bogged down in budget matters, and as I hadn't been party to all that I decided to duck out. Still had the horses to do at that point anyway.
Better to do a freezer dive and sort something for later- I'm trying to run it down so I can see what is actually in there- so much stuff for 2 people, and masses of green beans from last years crops.
Take care poodles, hugs and spoons as always
