F&F settlement letter offer or CCA . Not sure where to start. Thanks

Options
Hi everyone, Thanks for reading my post. I have been reading through the forums and not 100% sure where to start.
I am looking for some advice as I don't know whether I should try and negotiate F& F settlements or first to ask for my CCA, all taken out around 2011-2014.
I have been paying £5 a month to each creditor for the last 10 years. All have been passed to DCA's apart from Nationwide. All debts have fallen off credit report. I would like to try and reduce them all, or try to clear one at a time. Health scares and family difficulties, I have just swept them under the carpet. I care for my 90 year old aunt and she has offered me £800 which I am grateful for but it is a drop in the ocean. I don't have any lump sum, but can take on another wee job which would give me an extra £150 a month. Have no savings. Thanks in advance.

Nationwide - £3297,
PRA - was MBNA - £3469 -  Offered F&F settlement of £1908 in 1 payment by 06/02/25
Capquest/Arrow on behalf of NCO - Vanquis - £1893
Westcot/Cabot - Sainsbury's - £2067
Westcot/Cabot - HSBC - £3300 - 0ffered F&F reduction of £1037
Moorcroft - Aqua - £5724

We always recommend doing a cca request before offering money. If they can't comply then you don't pay them until they do.

The template is here. Follow it exactly.

You say that you don't have a lump sum but you have £800 from your aunt plus £150 per month.

If you aim to settle at 30p in the £ then that's a 3k debt gone straight away

    An update and advice please

All balances that had been sold to debt management companies have all acknowledged CCA request and most returned the £1 postal orders.

Today a letter from Cabot - on behalf off Sainsbury’s- it appears that they can’t provide your requested documentaion and if at any stage they become available then will become enforceable once more if received within the relevant limitation period.
Although your account is currently unenforceable the balance remains payable and due.
Should at this stage I offer a F&F settlement at 25% or just ignore it.

    Balance £2067 paying £5 a month offer £625
    thanks in advance x

I would ignore that one for now. You will find some debts are enforceable and you will need your resources for them

Updated letter today from Westcot. Instructions have been received from our client Sainburys to withdraw the account therefore, you should receive no further contact from Westcot in relation to this matter.

Does this mean that they are not enforcing the debt.

    Thanks x

Update on all CCA requests posted 15/01 and any advice on Nationwide please

    PRA - MBNA - £3469 -  acknowledged 22/01

    CAPQUEST/ARROW on behalf of NCO - Vanquis - £1893 -acknowledged 31/01

    Westcot/Cabot - Sainsbury's - £2067 unenforceable

    Westcot/Cabot - HSBC - £3300 - acknowledged 01/02

Moorcroft - Aqua - £5724 - unenforceable and they cancelled DD

Nationwide - after they received CCA request. I received a letter to contact them, which I ignored. Then a letter with a new £5 a month 2 year repayment plan.
Today returned postal order and acknowledged my SAR request. It should have been a CCA request.

Nationwide is the only one not sold on. Been on a dmp since 2014/15
Any advice with Nationwide I would welcome.

    Thanks

Nationwide's not an overdraft, is it?

I think just wait to see what they produce.

    Doing well, so far

I suppose you could give them a lecture on what a request under s 77-79 Consumer Credit Act means, and what their failure to comply means under CONC 13, and why you will be stopping payments

    All rather tiresome
