UC major problems

I received my migration notice in October to claim UC from ESA...I uploaded all my housing docs, and filled in all required info. I'm now being asked to attend a standard ID check at the Jobcentre the problem is that I have no photo ID( I actually applied for a Citizen Card months ago but nobody could verify my identity because my GP changes at every appointment and no one else would verify me because I am socially isolated due to Bipolar). I am very concerned that I will not be able to claim and have to live off PIP since getting official ID is not going to happen anytime soon. I know they can do checks to verify but I am also concerned about that as I don't have old claim letters due to a fire last year . Any advice?

There'll be some way to do it... one or two have had difficulties and resolved them recently here including someone who could not get to a jobcentre due to their health.
You can use your journal to inform of any difficulties doing a task like this and possibly find an alternative way to verify... others may specifically recommend a method that they'll use and fits with what you can likely provide in terms of information or documents and format... it could be that you end up with a biographical interview by phone where I understand they will ask you questions that (they think!) only you would likely know answers to (perhaps about previous addresses, claims, payment details.. that sort of thing maybe). Try to avoid a home visit to prove ID because I understand these can take a long time to arrange and probably not suitable in this scenario anyway.
But refer to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-verify-your-identity-for-universal-credit"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
They can use your bank card/statement as primary evidence as long as it's the account Universal Credit is being paid into, then you can use your birth certificate and a recent utility or council tax bill as the 3 pieces of ID, if you have them.
But if you are moving from ESA, they may be ableto bio questions, but sometimes you still need to go to a face to face apointment.

They accepted my Voters Certificate as photo ID with bank statement, bank card and council tax bill
