Radiator behind sofa - inefficient?

    You can get fans that sit on top of a radiator, and others that clip on the bottom. Prices vary, as will quality.
    As to effectiveness, I wouldn't care to comment. However, I do have a fan convector (plinth heater) in the kitchen, and find it quite good. A tad noisy, but not intrusively, and the ΔT has to be set a lot lower than a typical radiator (5-10°C as opposed to ~20°C).
    @javixeneize doesn't have space for a larger radiator or no where site a second one, a wall mounted fan convector might be an option - You can get low level models as well as ceiling mounted (all pretty expensive). A third alternative is continuous skirting heater running around the perimeter of the room (very expensive).  But all moot if this is a rental property, so a radiator fan would be the only real option.
