Stolen nectar points

Today I received an email from Nectar thanking me for spending my points 54000 in Argos.
I am completely shocked and distressed about this as I had been saving these points to take my granddaughter on the Eurostar next month!
I have not been able to get in touch with Nectar as their office is closes at 5.30.
I sincerely hope that I will be able to get these points back.
I am looking for any support and information that would help me.

Happened to me recently, 19,000 points used in Croydon. Contacted Nectar via webchat, old cards cancelled, new cards issued and the points reinstated. No drama at all, suspect it happens frequently.0

there are several posts about this and on other sites - it is an insecure system, Nectar know this and will give you the points back1

Many, many reports from people about that happening to them. From what I've read it will be easier to get points reinstated if they were used somewhere remote from your home location.

As far as I recall I used the live chat on the Nectar website to contact them to report 22,000 stolen points (as TELLIT01 suggests it was made easier as the points were spent in Hampshire while I live in Birmingham), a new card was issued and the missing points credited within a few days.

There should be a link in the email you received to report that it was not you that spent the points. Happened to me just before Xmas and they issued a new card and returned the points no problem at all.1

Our Nectar points were stolen in October 2024. Miles away from us in London. The card had £40 worth on we were saving for Xmas shop. We are still waiting for this to be resolved and reinstated. Told new card would be issued within ten days. Took till Jan to get card. However every time we phoned the previous card was cancelled as stolen.Eventually received new card but no reinstated points. So yet again we are waiting for new card with the £40 worth of points. How is it we’ve been waiting since Oct and others get there’s instantly it seems.0
