Virgin merged but not merged?

I've just opened a Saver Issue 28 (3 withdrawals) saver but what a palaver. I've Virgin ISA and M current account and M Plus Saver and Regular Saver all beginning with sort code 05. For this new saver it made me apply as a new customer so I had to give all the usual info. I've now got a savings account with an 08 sort code and I can't manage it in the app, it takes you to the Virgin Money homepage to sign in. I thought all the merger stuff with Clydesdale that started in 2019 would have been sorted long ago and now it'll be probably get more confused with the Nationwide takeover who I also have accounts with. So I'll have to sign in 3 times to the same bank? Crazy!

No, they never fully merged. Hence all sorts of technical challenges. I don't believe any further integration between the parts is on the cards now Nationwide owns this mess.

With the number of financial institutions that Nationwide has gobbled up over the years they are probably best placed for dealing with this challenge.masonic said:I don't believe any further integration between the parts is on the cards now Nationwide owns this mess.5 -
I have both legacy profiles (05 and 82) and two 08 profiles as well. Disadvantage of having two is - unless you have 2 phones you have to manage one of them online (can't have them both on one app). The advantage is - I'm able to deposit a double amount to 10.38% RS.kuepper said:I've just opened a Saver Issue 28 (3 withdrawals) saver but what a palaver.
