Good morning, it's a damp start here, but not as cold as it has been ,there's no frost.
Yesterday was an ok day, I visited my friend and we had a good chat. She gave me a glass of Lindisfarne mead with elderflower - I don't like sweet drinks normally but the elderflower gave it a nice tang and took the edge off the sweetness.
This morning I'm going to our Residents Association meeting, then a quick trip to the supermarket while I'm out.
We'll go to the quiz tonight as usual.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, thinking of our sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning all and thanks Scarlet for starting us offOff to the butchers shortly to get a pack of chicken breasts which I'm sure will be nicer and cheaper in bulk than the supermarket ones, we shall see. Then off to the dentist to get fitted for a denture to replace the tooth I had removed a couple of months ago. A few charity shops nearby so might have a wander round those too while I'm out.Have a warm and safe day all x13

Morning all
Chilly here this morning but not as cold as it has been I will put the heating on for an extra hour so that it’s warm for my guests coming, all being well I should have all three coming today and we are going for a walk along the seafront and then to have lunch in a local community cafe where people with LD work it’s always a nice lunch in there and good value.
DD is off for the rest of this week and is going to the dentist this morning, she will pick up the shopping for me while she is out which will save me a job this week, dinner tonight will be pizza and salad so nice and quick.
I will run the hoover round this morning and put a wash on.
I hope the snow has started to melt for those of you who still have it xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -

Morning Scarlet and all who follow.
7 degrees outside and forecast to rise to 10, positivity balmy.
Went to the postbox yesterday, the pavements were mostly clear but there was still a few icy patches to beware of. Today a nice long walk with big dog, I've missed that this last week. While we're out I'm going to leave a beef stew in the slow cooker, don't know if we'll have dumplings or crusty bread with it.
That's about the extent of my day. Have a good day all and hugs to our poorlies.11 -

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It's a bit gloomy out there but at least the promised milder weather arrived as they forecast.
.
After a milder day yesterday too and then some light rain later in the afternoon, the snow finally started to thaw at last. There is still a goodly amount on the pavements and gardens but at least it's not frozen solid and deadly to walk on. So, as planned, DF and I are finally meeting up for our Tuesday lunch again. My bus has finally resumed going to the terminus again so it means I can go to the downhill stop which is a bit easier on my legs,. Our last meet up was the beginning of December, before I was clobbered with the coughing lurgy bug, then Christmas, New Year and finally the deep snow scuppering our meet ups. We are hoping this is the start of us meeting up more regularly again.
My bus buddy, who you may remember tripped over her threshold and fractured her pelvic bone, is hopeful she will be able to resume our bus trips again next week. She was hopeful of this week but isn't risking it now until all the snow has gone,
This enforced snowboundness has made me even more slothful than normal. I should have been tackling all sorts of jobs instead of just looking and thinking maybe tomorrow! But I did make the promised start on wardrobe pruning yesterday. I started with coats and boots I haven't worn in a while and that filled 2 bags before I made a tentative start on actual clothes. Sadly it was only a start so a long way to go yet.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.Yesterday a parcel arrived from an European company I had ordered from in November. The RM sent me a card to pay 'postage charges' which I refused to do so I told the company I didn't want the goods. It refunded me pretty sharpish so I thought it was all over with - until it arrived. It's certainly been marked for return to sender. I must catch the postie today to ask her about it, I was too slow yesterday. The full moon got me last night, I lay awake until well past midnight for no good reason. Eventually I watched 24 hours in police custody about Mexican drug cartels in Norfolk. This morning is very damp, dank, grey and mild. I have to go out to get milk as a friend is calling round later - I think that there's a leak in the water tank so he'll go up to look. In the evening I've got a meeting for the charity I'm on the board for, I really don't want to go but sometimes needs must. It's good to hear of people getting out and about again even into the wet outside. Keep warm and safe. Hugs to our poorlies.11

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
DH is off to BILs today and DD is in the office, so I’ve a day to myself. Will do a little weeding as it’s a milder day here, then perhaps some crafting. The knitting group comprised of 4 of us, 1 of whom just natters. Will go again next week to see how I feel about it. I finished the other half of my teacosy and sewed it up so a productive afternoon regardless. Apparently there are lots of activities/groups at the community centre, so I’ll check that out.Good to hear you are meeting up with your friend today @TravellingAbuela have fun x
We watched that programme too @Gers but missed the final segment as Sky rewind function failed. Will need to find it again tonight - no spoilers!!
Good plan to cancel the SM delivery saver @YorksLass - very MSE!Dinner is easy chicken curry.Have a good day everyone

Morning all. Hooray; no frost!
I have a free morning so will pop to the supermarket for a few things. After lunch things get busy as we're collecting DGS6 from school, driving him to his house and then doing childcare for him and his brother until 5pm as both parents will be busy working. We then drive home, get changed into Morris kit and set off for a 45min drive to set up the hall for our Plough Tuesday evening. We have invited a nearby Morris side to join us and we'll do some dancing inside the hall whilst some people are cooking a 3 course meal - I believe it's roast pork this year. We also danced at the Plough Sunday service on Sunday, which was in a large barn and involved the Vicar blessing the plough (which was on the front of a large tractor) to celebrate the start of the agricultural season. I couldn't get to that but I'm told the sausage rolls went down very well.
Better get going now. Hugs to all, including the poodles.12
