Help - dodgy car re-spray by insurers repair company

Options

My car bumper was damaged by a hit & run and sent to the insurers repairer. It came back with overspray and pin !!!!!! bubbles that had popped and dried which I complained about.

They said they would fix, but had it back again today and found a pin !!!!!! (sorry no photo). On Friday they told me they had painted, flattened & polished and when I asked about the overspray said they had cleaned the bumper only.

I questioned again and asked about the respray when they told me they had flattened and polished so I asked how did they know what to sort if not clean.  They said they would clean the car after and check.  It didn’t sound right but I took them at their word and said ok.  I had asked hadn’t they looked at their notes and the photos?

I'm now thinking this wasn't right and I could have more problems with my paintwork in the future and they want to now come to my house/work to polish out again.

Should I call them tomorrow and cancel and say I want in depth photos of the sanding down and respray to show they have correctly repaired my bumper?

Just complain to your insurance company.

I doubt that you are going to get any pictures of the work they do.
