  • I shall see what the letter says when we get it. I assumed a set aside was the same as a cancellation. If not then maybe it was cancelled. We shall have to see.

I have to say that, despite our win, I found the judge to be an odious little man who raised a silencing hand on the one occasion I felt the need to explain something.

But this didn't surprise me unduly. Thirty years ago my wife was involved in a minor car accident. In backing into our drive, the other car tried to squeeze past, and the driver misjudged the space. He claimed that she had hit him, which technically, I suppose, she did - as the front of our car swung round, shortening the space the other car had to get past.. The judge found in his favour, and maybe that was right - but what seriously !!!!!! us off was that we got speak first, then the other guy had a turn, but he presented  the accident in way that was fairly economical with the truth. I tried to point  this out, but was told that we'd had our turn, and that we should sit silent while the judge deliberated, and found against us.

This recent experience had all the hallmarks of that previous one.
  • I shall get on and do the survey  :)
