You understand that if either of you give notice, you all have to leave by the date on the notice? Otherwise, you have to pay double rent.
If you think there is any chance that your ex- wife might give notice without informing you, you might want to talk to whoever is listed at the address for the serving of notice? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -

if you are separated, your wife can claim benefits even if you are living together. I’d focus less on what she is doing and more on how you are going to move forward as living together doesn’t sound like it’s working.MFW 2021 #76 £5,145

I'd make a similar point.
You've indicated that you have "agreed the separation is mutually agreed at this point but the divorce is in progress".
At exactly what stage are you in the divorce? Application made? Nisa issued, Form E completed?
If you've got as far as applying for divorce you need to separate your finances. I'd suggest talking to wikivorce but as the most basic, I think you've already arranged for your income to go into a new account but are feeding the joint account?
So now is the time to deal with the joint account. One option is that you advise your wife it is to be closed and she needs a new personal account (sounds like she already got one) and you'll each get half of what's in there. If you think she's going to get difficult you can ask tell the bank previously that all future withdrawals need both signatures.
She needs to claim UC as a single person. Which she can do if you've agreed separation and or applied for divorce. Speak to wikivorce about the situation. She may also be allowed to claim for towards housing costs. If she's claiming, then you no longer pay for her food, clothing etc and can ask for contributions to other bills. She may already have a claim in based on being a single parent? In which case she picks up the tab for your daughter and you pay her CMA.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
