We have 2 charity dogs - haha - bless em.. wouldn't be without them!

One we got at 5months from the rspca, he has ADHD or something, but is such a character.. Had him 6 yrs now

The other is an 11yr old and has settled in very well.. Had her 2 yrs..

Get a charity dog.. they need the most love..

Like the majority, I could only recommend a rescue dog. We got Tilly (in my avatar) from a rescue just over 3 years ago, and I would only ever have rescue dogs in the future. Have a look here for reputable rescues in your area. Be prepared for interviews and homechecks, just so they make sure they match the right home to the right dog.

Please don't buy from the paper, free ads, or internet ads. All responsible reputable breeders will have waiting lists for their litters, and will not have to advertise.

Think about the set-up you have, and the type of dog it will suit. Do you work, have kids, other pets? Do you have a fenced garden, love walking miles, etc etc. Consider how much time you will be able to give the dog - training, walking etc. Think about what will/might happen in the future - if you change jobs/circumstances etc etc.
