Advice for debt

Thank you, it's already been rejected by an investigator and the ombudsman so looks like that's not an option.
Any other ideas from anybody?0 -
Have you made a CCA request?0
-
Don't know what stage you are up to with cca requests etc but seen as it's with intrum I thought id share that I settled an account of about 10.5k for about 3.5k with them about 18months-2 years ago. Think I got lucky and must have caught them on a day they were looking for a quick buck. My DH has a debt with them to but his offers have only been for 10% off so far so we have left it to run for now.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213
Mortgage Jan 18- 77224 May 25- just under 65k
June 25 Debts in my name only £5170. DH can't keep track...1 -
Hi Both,
I have been down the CCA route and they did come back to me with the details so can't take that any further.
I did email a number of their senior management to see if anything can be done. They have offered to reduce the outstanding amount by £3k 😕. Doesn't really make much difference. Not sure if they are suggesting below if I go down the illness route. I'm not ill and never mentioned I'm ill to them but if I was would they check if I can provide them details? Below is part of the reply from themDear Mr xxxxxx,

Soooo, the most bizarre thing happened today. Rather than emailing Intrum customer service I've been emailed Intrum senior managers direct mainly their CEO and other top management I can find online. Yesterday they offered me a settlement of £30305 which was basically a 90% settlement offer from the full amount. Following the email above I responded and said my anxiety levels are through the roof and it's been an awful time the last 8 years slowly paying it back without really making a dent in it.
They have come back to me today with a settlement offer of £3000! I couldn't believe what I was reading. It's all on an email so is this all legitimate? Should I push my luck and ask for a complete write off or bits their hand off?1 -
What can you afford? I'd be inclined to offer half what they want if you can afford it and be prepare to adjust slightly if you have family you can tap.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
-
So are you saying even though they have dropped from £33k to £3k offer them £1500?0
-
Give it a try and be prepared to negotiate upwards, if you can find family to support your increased offer? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
