Morning All
Thanks Gers, I would stay there if I were you, it's horrid out there. Wet and windy. I had a terrible nights sleep so will be flagging this afternoon.
I walked to the shops yesterday and got what I needed, nice to be able to get out and not slip all over the place. Visited a lovely new baby in the afternoon. Apart from that nothing much going on.
Stay safe Wee Nancy.
Happy packing Carolbee.
Hope you enjoyed your walk Suffolksue.
Well done to your DH Coxy, hope the young lad was ok.
Hugs to anyone in need.
Another busy week at work ahead, at least it should be warmer in there than last week.
Take care. XX13 -
Up now. 😀
Today we may have a temperature in plus figures though yesterday there was a flood alert about melting snow. After an early flurry of activity yesterday morning I was very lazy the rest of the day. It was too cold and icy to go out anywhere despite the bright sunshine. I was looking forward to my exercise class before remembering that it's not on so I'll do some work on my own.I hope that everyone is safe and warm. Hugs to all, especially the poorlies.12 -
Morning allNot so icy out there this morning by the looks of it.One of my hearing aids isn't working properly so going to drop it off at the audiology department of my local hospital this morning so they can, hopefully, repair it.Popping to a L**l supermarket which is not far from the hospital to have a look round as I don't go to that one very often and also am getting a bit low on bird food so will get some while I'm there.Hope everyone has a good day and the thaw starts to set in for those who need it. Take care all xx13

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It seems to be a bit warmer this morning, and there's no frost!
Carolbee, we were in Australia this time last year, visiting our eldest and family - I so wish we were there now! Hope you have a great time.
We went to Dunelm yesterday, it was so busy, in fact the whole shopping centre was. I bought 2 pairs of curtains in the sale, then nipped into B+M for a few things.
Not much going on today except my regular visit to a friend, a 90 year old lady who lives nearby.I
Nanny, hope your visit to the Drs to talk about your scan results doesn't reveal anything worrying.
Thinking of anyone else having a worrying time, also our sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Thanks for the start Gers and everyone that has already followed.
As per usual, I feel tired. I’m never tired in an evening so stay up later than I should and regret it most mornings.
Back at college work today, but thankfully not until lunchtime. Will just watch the sky turn pink then get up!Take care all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another milder start but I think this snow will take a lot of shifting yet. But at least it might not be as slippery as when it was frozen solid.
No plans for today but I am hoping normal service will resume tomorrow when, hopefully, the snow will be less hazardous to walk on. First job today must be the tedious job of filling my dosset boxes. They always seem to be empty!
Have a good day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Thinking too of the folks in LA. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Good morning all
There is a glorious sunrise, the sky is orange. Yesterday the thaw started and most of the snow and ice has gone.
I didn't get on here yesterday, the internet was down and didn't come back until lunchtime, by which time I was doing other things. Which brings me to the saga of my aunt. My DB has managed to get in touch with her son, who confirmed that she passed away in September, (which I guessed had happened). Because she requested a non attendance funeral he didn't inform anyone. I did say my family isn't close, they can also be strange. So that only leaves my one uncle now.
Dinner yesterday was the roast beef leftover from Xmas, the tough one. I sliced it and covered it with gravy and left it covered in the bottom of the oven while doing the roasties. Success, it was much better. Tonight will be bbq chicken with jacket potatoes and coleslaw.
Need to post a birthday card today so can get a much needed walk and fresh air.
Have a good day all, hugs to our poorlies and sad.

Morning everyone and thanks for the start @Gers x
Rubbish nights sleep for me despite two cups of ‘sleep tea’. We are taking Mums Christmas gift round today and setting it up. It’s a smart TV. She needed to sort the lounge out first. She’s also been awarded AA of £108/week which she’s thrilled about. After Mums it’ll be the weekly shop at A!di and I’m attending the knit and Knatter this afternoon. Will take my teacosy to continue with.Strange about your aunt @remmie. I would have informed family even if the cremation was no fuss.Have a good day everyone.CoxyCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings12 -
Morning all. Still frosty but milder here.
The bin men have just been so will need to go and sort out the bins on the path. After that we're off down to Rickmansworth for lunch with a small group of friends. There is a 5 mile walk beforehand but we're skipping that! Someone we haven't seen for a few years is meant to be coming so looking forward to that.
Best wishes to everyone.10
