Indesit dishwasher

I purchased an Indesit dishwasher directly (Hotpoint). Used it twice a week for 13 months it caused the while house to be without for a couple of hours in Christmas day. It's def the dishwasher. I'm about to write a letter to them as they are claiming no manufacture can guarantee their product to last a certain amount of time. Apparently they also don't have email addresses! ( hmmm....really) So I asked for the CE name and the postal address. I'm saying clearly the product is not fit for purpose IE should last more than 120 uses. Can you imagine if all appliances only lasted for 100-150 total uses.

They do have email addresses but just don't want to share them with you. And they don't have to.
On their contact us page, Hotpoint say, 'Instant message us through WhatsApp. We respond Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm.'
WhatsApp is like email but some people find it easier to use.
Are you sure you bought an Indesit machine directly from Hotpoint? They are ultimately owned by the same parent company (Arcelik Industries in Türkiye) and probably use similar components but the Hotpoint shop only seems to sell Hotpoint dishwashers.1 -
You need to make it clear to them that you are approaching them as the retailer of the goods and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act and not as the manufacturer of the goods. Obviously most people buy from other shops and in that case their argument that they dont provide a warranty is valid.0
