Free combi boiler replacement schemes for private tenant with disabled child

Apologies if I have asked in the wrong category but I haven't used this forum for years.
I am a single parent carer to my severely disabled child who is in receipt of top rate DLA. I get carers allowance and UC.
I am a private tenant and have lived here 10 years. The Ideal combi gas boiler is at least 10 years old, was already in here when my landlord bought the property, it's no less than 11 years old, probably 12-15.
It's on its last legs and getting beyond repair, keeps losing pressure (plumber knows the issue and is advising a new boiler).
My landlord is wonderful, we have a good relationship and he's spent 15k plus in the last couple of years on a new roof and replaced double glazing. I help him out wherever I can, got a disabled facilities grant 3 years ago to add a new wheelchair accessible back door.
Are there any legitimate boiler replacement schemes available that could help out here please?

Not that I am aware of because the property belongs to the landlord, so maintaining the heating and hot water is down to them.

Thank you. A search on the Web has brought up lots of options I appear to qualify for, despite it being a private let, but I'm cautious about any catches etc. Plus I spend a lot of time caring for my daughter and don't want to be bombarded with sales calls etc

Have you asked your landlord to replace the boiler? It is their legal responsibility.

You could try contacting your energy supplier and ask what they can provide under the ECO4 scheme - The qualifying criteria is based on the resident's circumstances, not the landlords.
Alternatively, get a quote from Octopus for a heat pump. I have heard of some people getting quotes for just £500, which is less than what a budget gas boiler would cost. You might even get the total cost of a heat pump covered by the ECO4 scheme.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Thank you, that's a good idea as I'm with Octopus anyway.
    I'll try contacting them.

Yes, he's fine with whatever needs doing, I'm just trying to help him out a bit as he's spent thousands on this house over the 10 years I've been here, including a full reroof costing 15k a couple of years ago. We jokingly refer to this house as The Money Pit 😂
If I can't get any help towards the boiler then he will, of course, replace it.
We're both Yorkshire folk... if we can get owt for nowt, we will 🤣

The cost of maintenance including a new roof is part and parcel of being a property owner and landlord. He's benefitting from your rent paying off the mortgage on the property or filling his savings account. I understand you want to have a good relationship, and to save him money, but this is also business transaction.

Whilst I agree it is a business transaction they are two way transactions.  I suspect that the OP is worried firstly that the good relationship with the landlord could be challenged & if it is then moving may cause a lot more issues than they would like to have to deal with.  We have read enough on here to know that not every landlord would bother dealing with a leaky roof even if they know they should.

I'm late to the party but I agree with FreeBear - if you qualify for ECO4 you'll get a full house upgrade for free, and if not Octopus offer cheap heat pump installations. They can take a little bit of care and attention to get the best out of them, but they're better than a knackered boiler.

Your local council may give advice on what schemes you can apply for, they might also have grants or offer support in applying. Generally the conditions are around low income, health needs of the occupier and landlords consent. All councils differ though.
