Cooker tripping electrics

OP, we had the elements fixed on our old oven via an electrician and also via a D&G policy over the years. The electrician was cheapest for a one off - think he charged us a call out fee and cost of element, so around £70 quite a few years ago. Unfortunately that guy moved away so when our cooker went kaput a few years ago we ended up getting a 1 year Domestic and General policy which included the original fix. Back then it was about £150 for the year. We did have quite a big gas/electric range cooker thingamy. The D&G guys were really good as they checked the whole cooker out and did some fixes we didn't know needed doing, but a bit pricey after a few years. Definitely not as much as a new cooker would have cost us though.
Just one thing they could never fix - the bulb in the fan over kept blowing and tripping the electrics no matter what we tried. We just stopped changing the bulb.
