Hotels.com gift voucher theft

I had £364.64 gift voucher from hotels.com and I tried to use it last week and said balance zero. Confused, I contacted them and they said it was last used on 30th August can’t tell me who by or for what booking. And sorry not our responsibility if it’s been used!!!! Anybody know if I can try and get this back? Very upset by this. Thank you
