Hi, My Mum died at the end of Oct last year and I've now been issued probate. The last thing to do is to get the name changed with the Land Registry re the house. Could someone talk me through exactly what you do please and how much it costs as well please?
Also is it worth bothering? as I intend to stay here for the rest of my life. Thank You.

Probably better to get it done now rather than later, as it would be an added complication for your executor after your death, or if you did decide to sell the house at any point (e.g. if the house was no lonoer suitable for your needs and you decided to downsize / upsize/ go into shetered housing or care)Dancingbadlyinthedark68 said:

I would certainly get it done as not doing it will just create complications for your executor when that time comes.
Assuming the property is already registered with the land registry you need to complete forms AS1 and AP1

The fees are on a sliding scale depending on property value.
