There’s a very heavy frost here today
Yesterday went fine and DGS was fine and trained it home successfully.
Nothing planned today except house work and sorting .
Think the heating will be on continuously and I’ll worry about paying for it later !
Saw a recipe for curried carrot and parsnip soup on another thread so will try that to use the v wrinkled parsnips left from the Christmas bargains .
Stay warm everyone12 -

Morning All
It's even colder this morning but the sun has risen and everything looks lovely. We haven't had one flake of snow but the frost everywhere makes it look quite lovely.
Glad it's Friday and the week has passed quickly, the first week back after the Christmas and New Year holiday is always tough.
Hope your back is better soon WL.
Get well wishes to Laura Snoozer.
Good news that your DH has an appointment Scarlet.
Pleased to hear your DDad got top marks Allie.
That sounds a strange experience Gers, hope it makes a difference.
Washing all up to date, will do housework when I get home tonight.
Take care. XX11 -
Brrrrr it's -3 out there this morning. Just come back from food shopping and thawing out with a coffee. Heating on now so I should warm up soon. Apart from that I've got a new address book to transfer info into from my old tatty one and that's about the excitement for today.Hope everyone keeps safe and warm.Oh and @Floss I'll be looking out for you at the next Winter Olympics8

Good morning all
Went on the walk yesterday, very cold but the sun shone, it was good to get out.
Need to clean the front and window, next door had some work done and the mess seems to have come my way.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.9 -
Morning all. Another rinse and repeat day of bright blue skies and sunshine but with the addition of a hard frost overnight on top of the now compressed snow.
Today's high 1C and low -5C. I haven't been out of the house since 30th Dec and even then it was in DS's car. I'm slowly going stir crazy!
I finished cleaning the kitchen units yesterdayand also sorted the inside of the drawers; nothing to dispose of apart from the crumbs that somehow always manage to find their way inside. I also washed the living room curtains that I took down before Xmas so that's another job done. Fingers crossed they don't need ironing.
I phoned TV Licensing to find out why they had't taken a DD payment in December and it seems that, when I informed them of DH's death, they cancelled the licence instead of transferring it to my name. Oops, since the end of November I've unwittingly been watching TV without a licence!New plan set up now, the only downside is that because it's a new licence, at first the DD payments will be £33-odd pm instead of £14-odd.
On today's hit list is the Council to find out why no-one has been in touch about an on-site inspection for the water that comes in when it rains. Reported on 6th December so, even allowing for the festive break, it's way more than the 5 working days I was quoted.
Other than that, it's banking/admin day and meal planning for next week. I have a parcel being delivered (hopefully) some time this afternoon - a new shoe rack to replace a very rickety old one. I'll be testing my DIY skills putting it together.
@ScarletRibbons - I hope DH's first radiology appointment goes well.
@TA - Your days sound as exciting as mine!
@Gers - Isn't it nice when you can hear properly again!
@Floss - That's pretty much what it looks like here too. No skis for me though!
Take care, wrap up warm and, above all, stay safe. Hugs for the Poodles, lonely and fed up. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9
