E: 15/01 Win a private tour for 2 to Uzbekistan

In collaboration with the British Museum, Wild Frontiers is offering a fantastic prize of a 10-day Classic Silk Road Uzbekistan private tour for 2 people, including flights, accommodation, transfers, guided sightseeing and some meals.*
About the trip:
Uzbekistan is the historical heart of the Silk Road, brimming with architectural delights and epic Silk Road tales. Explore the cities of Tashkent, filled with glittering mosaics and mosques, and then the beautifully preserved medieval city of Khiva via ancient desert castles. Travel through the Kyzyl Kum Desert to Bukhara, where a tour of this beautiful oasis, once filled with pools and canals, ends with a homecooked dinner of plov, the national dish. A long history of trade, evident from Bukhara’s exquisite trading domes, there’ll be the opportunity to browse the lively bazaars and pop into a family-run ceramic workshop, before taking the high-speed rail to the fabled city of Samarkand, where you'll witness iconic sights such as Registan Square, Shah-i-Zinda and Bibi Khanum Mosque.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Marvel at Samarkand’s Islamic architecture and famed Registan Square
- Take a break at a typical teahouse and learn to cook plov in Bukhara
- Gaze up at the immense tiled minarets and wooden ceilings in medieval Khiva
- Stay in a beautifully restored madrassah and converted historic guesthouses
- Visit the mosques and madrassahs of Tashkent’s Old City
