I ordered some items from Amazon yesterday.
Checking the app on my phone, reveals the following under Pending Transactions.
Amazon Eu +£0.00
Amznmktplace +£40.16
Both have todays date on them.
Why are there 2 entries, and why is one for no money?

Did you save your card?
If you saved it the £0 one was probably validating the card.
It will disappear after a few days.0 -
Despite the label, 'pending transactions' doesn't actually mean 'transactions that will complete' but is simply a record of authorisations, which may or may not be followed by a call for the funds. As above, such authorisations can be used to validate a card rather than being related directly to an actual transaction....0

I sometimes see the same under pending in my Co-operative account - eBay - after a purchase.

It's just checking the card details you entered are real and the card is validI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

I have three £0 pending transactions since February, they are for Google, Amazon and Vodafone. The actual cash transactions have gone through but the holds to verify the card are still in my pending list over a month later even though they are supposed to be removed when transaction clears. It's definitely annoying0

Auths normally drop off after 14 days (Card providers time limits)
As they are zero, it will not cause any issues.Life in the slow lane0
