Tupe transfer benefits

I was on a contract for a company contracted to a business and the business decided to take the contract on themselves and I was transferred over on a tupe contract. Employees that work for this company get staff discount, but we were told that we would not get this perk within this job role.
Since the transfer other employees left, but I remained. They have employed new staff and they have the staff discount. I asked if I could be entitled to the staff discount, but they said the only way I could get it was by leaving the job, then reapplying and going through an interview as a new employee (with a risk of not getting the job)
I've been helping keeping things going on my own doing above and beyond my contracted job whilst they employed new staff- done all the training, ordering and supervising (not my job) and yet everytime I ask for something they remind me I'm on a tupe contract.
Is there anyway of negotiating this at all?

I was in similar situation only as TUPEd staff we were costing the employer a lot more than they expected and more than they paid equivalent staff - so every time there was a pay rise of some bonus it was "not for those on <TUPE> contract"
It wasn't such a big deal when were getting more anyway but very annoying if you aren't - think not giving staff discount is pretty mean0 -
What do you mean "I was on contract"?nikimarie said:I was on a contract for a company contracted to a business and the business decided to take the contract on themselves and I was transferred over on a tupe contract. You were a FTC? You're a temp via an agency? An inside IR35 contractor via an Umbrella? An outside IR35 contractor via your Ltd?
What does your contract state about payrises, bonuses, staff discounts?0 -
Putting it bluntly, based on what you've written, no. They clearly aren't bothered about keeping you, bitter as that pill must be to swallow - so why stay somewhere where you demonstrably aren't valued at what you feel you're worth? That said, getting another job may not be that straightforward, and the one you have might be worth having despite this bit of cheese paring from your employer. Perhaps, though, it is time to be a bit less obliging when it comes to how far above and beyond you are willing to go, without endangering your future security if you want to keep the job.nikimarie said:I was on a contract for a company contracted to a business and the business decided to take the contract on themselves and I was transferred over on a tupe contract. are you terms and conditions otherwise more generous than the equivalent Grade contract for the those subsequently recruited ?nikimarie said:I was on a contract for a company contracted to a business and the business decided to take the contract on themselves and I was transferred over on a tupe contract.
