Lack of connection between boiler receiver and transmitter

Has anyone ever had their boiler receiver fail? I've been trying to reconnect my EPH transmitter and receiver but to no avail - followed the reset instructions, replaced batteries on the transmitter but I think there's an issue with the hardwired receiver. It's not connecting and the house is now freezing (Worcester boiler is grand - hot water is flowing). I can't even manually override the thing. Thanks.

Make and model of the controls?Assuming it has an override button, if this also doesn't work, then it really does point to a faulty Rx.What lights and buttons does it have on it - photo, please?0

If we ever have a power cut or power surge at home (which happens at least once a month) I have to switch off the power circuit for our heating controller at the main consumer unit to get the RF to reconnect. Even switching off at the local socket doesn't work - it has to be a reset of the circuit to force the RF to reconnect.
Just something that I've found with a number of RF receivers. and worth a try before replacing it.1 -
That doesn't make electrical sense, but worth trying :-)0

Have also had the same issue with a shower unit. I think it might be due to voltage levels at that moment when the power comes back on - it's not an issue if I change over to run off our home battery, or turn off the circuit until after the mains power is restored.1 -
