Is it possible to get a mortgage with usd income?

The first question my bank's mortgage calculator asks is "is your income in GBP?". My income is in USD. Is it outright not possible for me to get a mortgage, or is there a way around it?

Contact a broker, rather than trying to make your own applications to banks. Especially if your username suggests you don't have a regular salary.

Yes. It's possible. A few lenders accept non-sterling income, most don't. A good independent broker will be able to establish the best lender/product for your particular circumstances.I am a mortgage broker. What happens if you say no?0

The main concern for banks, is changes in exchange rates can have a significant impact on your ability to repay the mortgage. That’s why it will probably be best to go through a broker to find lenders who do accept this.0
