Hello there!
I’m looking for a new business bank account because our current NatWest account does not send payment notifications or alerts when money is paid in - only when money goes out.

If you have business banking and you have instant payment notifications could you please share your experience?
It would be muchly appreciated,
thank you 😊

I am not being funny but can you not check your bank account daily to see what has been paid in?
I would have thought this to be good business practise anyway to see the ins and outs and spot errors etc?0 -
Monzo does this. I have their free business account now (used to pay £5/month for more bells and whistles when I was full-time self-employed) and I can't fault them.Credit card debt: £8530 £8071
Savings: £33630 -
I can't speak for the OP, but I find notifications really useful when I've agreed to do a fairly urgent job for payment in advance, and I'm waiting for that payment to arrive. I could check my bank account every hour or so but it's much more convenient to just get a notification when the payment arrives.retiredbanker1 said:I am not being funny but can you not check your bank account daily to see what has been paid in?

Obviously as a business owner you have to check your accounts and do your books, but you don't necessarily do this on a daily basis, and definitely not on an hourly one!Credit card debt: £8530 £8071

I have used a Starling business account for several years without any problem. I get an instant notification for all payments in (and out I think).0

Thanks for your experiences, I I forgot to mention that I also need an account that allows partnerships, which appears to be an issue for many banks. I'm finding that if they have payment notifications, they say no to partnerships. Sigh.
