Replacement Radiators

Hi Everyone,
I’m thinking about changing some radiators, maybe in the spring or summer, I usually buy these from Screwfix, I’ve just had a look at they seem quite expensive, tool station are even more expensive, I know some years ago I bought them from a company on the internet, a lot cheaper, even with courier fees, but I can’t remember where, does anyone know if internet is cheaper than screwfix? Probably looking at 4 radiators, some of them fairly long, so I would expect Screwfix to be the cheapest, they are currently giving away a free TRV,  but are the radiators the same price after they stop TRV? I’m not too concerned about changing TRV as they’re not that old. I did see an advert for Aluminium radiators, no rust, didn’t look into price, I suspect far too expensive.
Many thanks, Steve.

City Plumbing are giving 15% off your first order using their App, with free delivery over £75. They sell Stelrad Halcyon radiators. Cost looks to be about the same as Screwfix, but it will depend on what sizes you want.

Other suppliers potentially have other deals, or will cut you a discount for a large order.

I was going to say the same. With Screwfix, the larger and heavier radiators are collect only, where as City Plumbing (generally) use their own vehicles. Had a Halcyon T22 600x1200mm radiator from City Plumbing last year. Slightly more expensive than Screwfix, but the "free" delivery made up for it.

I realised that when I was looking for a price of a radiator, I said Screwfix are cheaper, that’s because I had the ‘Toggle’ set to Ex VAT, once I set it correctly, same price, both have 15 year warranty.

I had a look and Screwfix sell aluminium radiators the, but they’re very expensive, I’ll put together a spreadsheet, so I can see who is the cheapest.

If you want cheap, then steel radiators are your only real option. Designer and fancy metals all come at a premium.
